Welcome to WG Pilates

I’m Wendy Gill and I run regular mat Pilates classes in Bramley, Mortimer West End and Tadley, which are villages situated just north of Basingstoke, Hampshire. I also offer live online group or 1-2-1 classes via Zoom.

Everyone of any age and experience of practising Pilates is very welcome. If you are looking to alleviate aches and pains, strengthen yourself for daily life, improve your posture, work on your balance or just find a friendly class to participate in regularly, you’re in the right place. What is Pilates?

Pilates is an exercise programme that strengthens your core muscles, teaches you how to move well and helps to improve your posture and balance. This involves repetition of exercises that strengthen the body, lengthen muscles, alleviate tension and improve stability while also educating you in how to hold yourself well.

As you become familiar with the programme, you will find that you can apply what you learn to your everyday life to make you feel stronger, walk taller and be able to deal with aches and pains before they become debilitating. Pilates also requires you to focus on your movements, contributing to good mental health and relaxation.

I qualified as a level 3 Body Control Pilates instructor in 2016 and have subsequently added additional qualifications in pre- and post-natal Pilates, bone health and low back pain.

My class sizes are small so that I can help participants to get the most out of each session. I also offer private 1-2-1 sessions.
