Wendy Gill, WG Pilates

I’m Wendy Gill and I have been practising Pilates myself for 15+ years and have been teaching since March 2016.

I took my qualifications with the Body Control Pilates Association, which is a well-regarded Pilates educator based in London. The BCPA qualification involves a thorough training regime including in-person seminars, practical training sessions and the study of anatomy. It also requires teachers to pass practical teaching examinations and to undertake an apprenticeship with an experienced supervising teacher. Once qualified, all teachers are expected to continue to learn and study to earn minimum CPD points every year.

Since qualifying, I have also taken additional qualifications in Low Back Pain; Bone Health; and teaching Pilates to pre- and postnatal clients.

Back4Good (Low Back Pain)

I am a Back4Good Practitioner having achieved additional qualifications in teaching Pilates to those suffering with chronic low back pain. This is one of the most common causes of people taking extended periods off work in the UK. The Back4Good Healthy Back Programme helps those suffering with low back pain to manage and reduce their symptoms through appropriate exercises and advice. Please contact me for further information.

Bone Health (Pilates for those with Osteoporosis and Osteopenia)

It is very important for anyone diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia to engage in an appropriate strength training and exercise regime alongside the right nutritional plan. Pilates can be very beneficial as part of this regime. I have taken additional qualifications with the Body Control Pilates Association so that I am able to teach anyone who has been diagnosed or is at high risk of bone health issues. Pilates in Pregnancy

I have additional qualifications in pre and post-natal Pilates and, as a Mum-of-three myself, found Pilates invaluable in keeping strong during pregnancy and re-building internal muscle strength afterwards. Any of my classes are suitable for pregnant ladies; exercises can be modified where necessary and private sessions are available where required. Please contact me for further information.
